Kitchen

Following the uprisings in Minneapolis in June 2020, the Seward Cafe paused our restaurant operations to focus on immediate community needs. Our kitchen transformed into a host space for various groups needing commercial kitchen space to cook and distribute meals across the city, whether as part of mutual aid efforts or as a place to kick-off exciting local food projects.

Southside Food Share

Southside Food Share has been providing hot meals to houseless people in South Minneapolis for about five years. During the summer of 2020, they went from cooking and distributing meals two days per week to five. To support this fantastic organization, consider contributing to their venmo account listed below! If you’d like to participate in work-trade on behalf of Food Share, reach out to sewardcafe@gmail.com
